The Caribbean Court of Justice has invited interested persons or organisations to apply to assist the Court as amicus curiae (friend of the court) in the appeal of Wazir Ali v Director of Public Prosecutions.
The appeal raises issues concerning the common law doctrine of recent complaint in criminal proceedings in Guyana. Individuals or bodies with relevant expertise may apply to provide submissions to assist the Court.
